RENEW YOUR SKIN
Plump, blemish-free, and luminous skin may seem unobtainable. If you have been neglecting your skin post summer, Autumn is the ideal time to focus on moisturizing and helping the skin’s natural renewal process. To stimulate the fibroblast of new skin cell growth and collagen production, boosting your skin care routine is essential.

WHY YOU SHOULD DRINK WATER FOR A HEALTHY COMPLEXION
Fall is a busy time of year, packed with events and holiday parties; which means drinking more alcoholic beverages, caffeine and applying makeup more regularly, all which takes a toll on the skin. To counter-balance, it’s important to remember to hydrate throughout the day with water or herbal teas to help your skin retain moisture and eliminate toxins. Skin cells like any other cells in the body are comprised of 70% water. In order to keep the skin cells plump and healthy, you need hydration! So hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

DEHYDRATION IS THE ENEMY OF YOUR SKIN
Did you know that inflammation and dehydration are the two main causes of aging in the skin? Besides hydrating internally, its important to moisturize your skin with the appropriate cream or oil for your skin type. You may switch out your products and add a hydrating mist vs an astringent toner to your skincare routine.

WHY YOU SHOULD EXFOLIATE YOUR SKIN
To prevent dryness, exfoliation is key to slough off dead skin cells that are piling up on the skin, causing a dull or uneven complexion. Exfoliating the skin will allow your treatment products to penetrate better and for the ingredients to do their job to regenerate the skin cells.

WHY REGULAR FACIALS MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR YOUR SKIN
Regular facials are a wonderful way to assist the skin renewal process. Did you know that it takes about 28 days for the outer skin layer, the epidermis to be entirely replaced? As we age that process gradually slows down to 47 days. This is why the time between facials is important. If you want to work on sun-damage, reducing wrinkles or acne scarring then bi-monthly facials are recommended. For maintaining a clear and glowing complexion anywhere between 4-6 weeks are great. For optimal results, they should be spaced anywhere from 2 - 6 weeks depending on what you are hoping to accomplish with your skin.
